Spotlight: Doll #3- Ivy Lee
My third doll was originally my sister's second doll. She bought her the month after she got her first doll with money she'd gotten for Christmas. Around a year later my sister told me she "didn't like her bangs" so i asked if she would give the doll to me, and she did! So then Ivy officially became a part of my collection. During this time I was really fascinated with custom AG dolls, but didn't dare to do anything to Ivy, she was retired at this point. I ended up getting my 4th doll a little bit later and her and Ivy became best of friends. That 4th doll no longer exists, but canonically moved away.
Ivy was the reason I started my blog. We were camping in a state park in the mountains and my dad had just given me his old Canon Rebel DSLR, I was enamored with it. I posed Ivy in our campsite and made her hold a rock in her hand. In that moment she sprung to life; she was so interested and invested in this rock. I could see how curious she was. I knew in that moment that Ivy was my little nature buddy. I also knew I had to share these adorable photos with people and thus Blog By Dolls was born.
Ivy has since been on many hikes and camping trips since then. She truly does fit right in with the forest. Her favorite thing is being surrounded by towering ancient pines, the trail beneath her feet coating in a thick soft carpet of dropped needles. She, like Skyler, wants to make a world a better place, just in a different way. She wants to restore the land, combat climate change, and make the world nicer to animals. She's vegan, as she loves animals and it just made sense that her diet should reflect that. Ivy is autistic, she wears noise dampening headphones quite often to help her navigate the world. She has a very strong sense of justice, she'll speak up for what she believes in even if it may get her in trouble.
Ivy identifies as a cisgender woman and omnisexual. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know about her!
